I had 2 GTX 970 from Newegg & Tigerdirect. Contacted them both. Newegg refunded 10% to my CC while Tigerdirect refused to do so at the moment and stated they will escalate to management and contact NVIDIA. Thus I think the refund from Amazon & Newegg are goodwill of the company, not from NVIDIA.

Just a thought for those who wanted to experience ultra widescreen without spending a penny. Had my 42" and 60" FHD TVs set to 1920x810, there's UWS experience :) the 42" looks similar size as 34" per what I have seen the LG 34UM65 that FRYs had in display. Only for movies & games though...
