Apple claims the battery life is 22 hours, but in real life, it's definitely less than that like the past iPods. For me, it's not only battery, but other features and supported formats too. The Creative Zen is looking really nice right about now, but iPods definitely have the best user interface.
My 3G 20gb iPod skips and/or has trouble finishing songs if it's in my pants pocket and I walk too fast. Like everyone else, I'm guessing it's a hard drive issue.
I'm still waiting for a 16gb flash based music player to come out, so I can retire my iPod. :(
Bleh, I don't know how it is in the states, but I checked the big Canadian online sites, and couldn't configure a similar system without spending almost $100 more at least.
Yeah, I already mentioned in my original post that the deals don't seem to be on their website. I didn't even know about it until a coworker walked in with a $229 desktop under each arm the other day for the office.

This is in Toronto, Canada. A small computer store opened next door to where I work. They have four different desktops all for under $300CDN. They all come with 1gig DDR2-667 ram, a 160gig hard drive, a LG 18x DVD writer, and processors from P4's to C2D's, and some AMD ones that I didn't bother...
I decided to play through Starcraft again after all that Starcraft 2 madness. The game only runs in 640x480, and playing on a 1920x1200 monitor was a bit weird at first, but you get use to it. I just had it on aspect with black bars on both side of the image.
