Hate To Break It To You, But Your Car Likely Has A Black Box 'Spying' On You Already
I should have known the link would get abbreviated.
The article from Forbes is titled "Hate To Break It To You, But Your Car Likely Has A Black Box 'Spying' On You Already"...
Actually, when I posted my link to the bill I included a key element... :D
Here's the bill: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/112/s1813/text Search on 31406.
The paranoia and rhetoric over there at infowars was expected, but I thought this crowd would be a bit more knowledgeable.
This bill mandates the recording capability that's in many new cars today. Heck, I thought it was already universal. Your car that's been built in the last decade...
Odd. I didn't notice anything in the article that indicated there was anything NEW on their research. These studies, indeed, were published over a decade ago (which can maybe be inferred from the story). A quick google/wiki search didn't indicate that anything new has been published since...
What's NOT to like about Corsair?
I don't think I've been disappointed with the quality of a Corsair purchase yet, from RAM to power supplies, Corsair is about all I consider buying anymore!
Things always exude quality.
There's another thread here about CPU importance to BF3. I found out the hard way it takes a lot of CPU to drive 3 screens; I was running my i7-930 at stock and had significant FPS issues, I was ready to throw in the towel. Then I went ahead and turned the OC back on and it gets better from...
Fantastic tip here, frighteningly expensive upgrade path.
Franjo, I've got 2x 5870 and run (mostly) high but struggle with fps. I drop into the 20s much more often than I'd like. I think your 6950s are similar, maybe not quite as strong as the 5870.
Great thread; CPU dependency in BF3 is pretty much like a secret. I saw a post or two on the BF3 forums and it was night & day when I overclocked my i7-930 (especially with 3 screens).
As for Hyperthreading, as mentioned, normally it actually causes stuttering issues in BF3, also. People have...
My little SSDs are impossible to live with. It seemed like a good idea. I need bigger, and I've become a Corsair fanboy after owning several Corsair products. About to buy more DDR3!
My favorite quote of the article:
That's what I'm doing tonight is beta TESTING the GAME, eating pizza and drinking beer!
