I am connecting the 360 via the official Microsoft VGA cable adapter. The line/tear only appears in 1:1 mode at 1920 x 1200 mode. When switched to full screen, the line doesn't appear. However, I don't want to be in full screen, because it stretches the image out slightly.
Does anyone else have their VK266H hooked up to their XBOX 360? If so, have you tried 1:1 and is there a line tear about an inch down from the top of the screen (if hooked up via VGA)??
I'm having trouble with mine...
I just hooked my XBOX 360 up to my monitor via the official VGA cable. However, whenever it is in 1980 x 1200 and 1:1 there is a weird line about an inch down on the screen that appears to split the picture (as if the two pieces don't match up). If I put it...
Get rid of both the Gateways! They are crap! I had them both and with the 2485W the inverse ghosting sucks in games. The FHD2400 has horrid horrid viewing angles, backlight bleed and color reproduction.
I bought the ASUS last week and am never looking back! Awesome viewing angles...
Don't go for either of the Gateway monitors! I've owned both:
1. The FHD2400 had horrible backlight bleeding and horrible viewing angles (see my experience with this monitor on page 60 of the FHD2400 forum here http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1231866&page=60)
2. I went back to...
I have been checking since Sunday and the Promo has been till 2/4 since then... so perhaps its a different Promo code you are thinking of... or I'm just an idiot
I just ordered mine today! Woot Woot! Hopefully I don't have the horrible experience that I had with my Gateway FHD2400 ... massive backlight bleeding and HORRIBLE Gateway customer service!
Here's an update to my current situation:
I contacted our computer tech guy at the University I work for. I let him see the monitor and here is his written response:
'Ok, long and short version of this. First Gateway filed bankruptcy and all warranty related repairs have been put in...
So, I filed a report with the BBB and Attorney Generals Office. Two days later, a man named Phillip Dawkins ([email protected]) contacted me from their corporate response team. The very first thing he told me was that my monitor wasnt under warranty by Gateway (are you catching on...
Thanks for the response. I have already tried to set my monitor's brightness down to "0" and there's still obvious backlight bleeding. All four edges of the screen look washed on on regular colors and dark scenes or backgrounds just look horrible! And I thought the inverse ghosting on my...
I purchsed my FHD2400 to replace my FPD2485 (couldn't stand the inverse ghosting after a while) 12/8/2008. On 12/12/2008 I sent in my monitor to repair the backlight bleeding. I understand that TN panels have some backlight bleeding, but this was unacceptable. There was a 2''-2.5'' band of...
