Were you responding to my post? You think its my CPU thats holding me back? That would be good news - as I was finally planning on OC'ing my 920 this weekend in hopes that it would fix my minor fps issues.
Not sure if this has been posted here yet, but this app made by a user at the evga forums is great for checking if a item (not just a gtx680) on newegg is in stock.

I am in this exact same boat, except I am considering it for just one Dell 3008WFP.
First, see this video for a (bad quality) example of multi monitor gaming in diablo 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xNmyhR92pM
It is reported that although you can see the environment on the other 2...
I use the Ikea Galant Desk. It has the half circle extension on the short side of the L shape, as well as another square extension on the long side of the L share of the desk. I posted a picture somewhere on this forum a long time ago, but I am having trouble finding it. I use a Dell 3008WFP and...
I was looking for some recommendations under the assumption that the case he has will be able to provide the cooling or space for it. Lets assume the one he has will not be sufficient though, then its not entirely out of reason to increase the budget another 50-100$for a reasonable case.
Its just some old case, I am not exactly sure. I am a very avid person for getting a nice case with cable management options, and good cooling and all of that, but considering his budget - I would just assume that he has a more then viable case (even if he doesnt, its something we can worry...
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

550-650. Including shipping and taxes
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell...
I have been researching for about 3 hours so far. I decided I am going to go with this receiver.
It is probably overkill for this specific application, but I think it will fit the bill in the future if I decide to use it for my TV.
After some research it appears that the GTX 580 can pass up to...
Looks like getting a sound card is the easiest and most sure fire way to go. Thanks a lot for your help!
Now I just need to find a relatively cheap card and amplifier that fits the bill.
So just to summarize..
Assuming I dont want to send the signal through my video card and in order to obtain working 5.1 from my PC source I would need to purchase a sound card to encode the audio signal as 5.1?
Lets just assume the hdmi signal on my gtx580 doesnt exist, since I dont feel...
I see. I currently have my GTX 580's hdmi slot occupied by my Samsung PN58C7000 TV, which caries an audio signal but its just outputting the audio on the tv's built in speakers, so whether or not it is capable of doing 5.1 is beyond me. I guess the answer to that will determine if I need to buy...
Thanks for this information - I was unaware. I am planning on using it for gaming and I was just going to to hook up the receiver to the optical out on my motherboard. It looks like that is not the way to go in order to obtain 5.1
Can you go into more detail about how I would hookup the...
