Same here. I get a "failed to intialize rendering device" error. I'm using a widescreen LCD (Viewsonic VX2025wm) so I suspect it may be the current resolution I'm running at?!? (1680x1050) Any thoughts?

I too tried this on mine to no avail. Seems dependent on the app- some games don't do it whereas Windows Media player does. The option in my ATI Omega driver is called "Scale Image to panel size" found in Display Properties...Advanced Settings... Displays tab.
