My install using a dvd took approximately 16 minutes, started at 5:30 and was in windows playing around at 5:46, i was shocked. Thanks for the guide, i definitely want to try the thumb drive route to see how much of a difference it might make.

This is amazingly awesome. I've heard of Bluejeans cable before but never ordered from them, usually order from monoprice because the layout and design of blue jeans is just really old. Not saying it doesn't work, just that it could use a good upgrade. I'll be ordering from Blue Jeans next...

I'm looking for a pentium 4 cpu for use in an Asus p4800D-E. Doesn't really have to be a screamer, 533 bus is fine so something around 1.6 ghz or above would be fine. Heatsink would be preffered but not required. Let me know if you can help, thanks! :)

tried that, still a no go, doesn't appear to do much. i think it gives up after a few minutes and boots to the normal drive. any other ideas?

I thought i'd mess around with booting osx off of my ipod for fun but ran into a snag. I wiped the ipod and used disk utility to copy an image of my tiger dvd to said ipod. When i go to reboot the computer and boot to firewire by holding down t i get a firewire logo that bounces around the...

decent drive, picked one up the other day and it's currently formating in my mame cabinet :) i paid 118 plus NY Taxes (boo) so total was around 127, not too bad for a 250 gid drive
