i have a toshiba satellite a75-s206 with a pentium 4 mobile 2.6 GHz, 512mb or ddr ram, dvd rom/cd-rw drive, 60gb hdd. the laptop turns on and works fine but sometimes shuts down by itself. also the battery does not hold a charge

hi i don't know if this has been posted but if i buy an upgrade version of windows 7, will upgrading to windows 7 require an existing instal (which requires me to do the double install like in vistal or is all i need a previous version windows disc ( like the xp upgrade method)?

i would take the HP because the 9 series video cards are less likely to fail. i think the hp also runs cooler. but i hope the 12 cell battery comes out soon for the laptop.
