it could be because OSX has antialiased fonts and you have to enable this feature in XP, i too was suprised at how well the text looks when i first switched.
just to clarfy is this one of those 'new' 1920*1200 monitors that are supposed to come out or is it a TV with a 1366*768 resolution?
also what experience do you have with 24" 1920*1200 monitors? i ask because i want to ask you whether you found the larger physical area to be better or worser...
i prefer speakers simnply because my headphones are a pair of shure E2C's, meaning i aam oblivious to the outside world, so if my mum calls me i won't be able to hear. however on some days when i am alone in the house i either put the woofer volume really high or use the shure :)
not that i am advocating buying a dell (i have yet to use a widescreen ultrasharp :( ) but is there any particular reason you are not consideringg the dell?
