ok i somehow fixed the shutdown problem, now how to i get rid of this f1 thing :mad: it says no ps2 mouse was found, press f1 to continue (i use usb mouse) anyone have an idea how to fix?

i meant windows shut down start>turn off computer>shutdown

I just put together a new computer and got everything installed smoothly, but ran into this problem. Every time i try to shut down, it restarts itself automatically. Every time it starts up, i have to press f1 to continue, and then it loads normally. Anyone have a fast fix for this...

I have tried to reset it a few times and nothing changes. I also fooled around with the CMOS to see if i could change something but also nothing happened. the motherboard must be defective or something.. any other comments or help?

I double checked the processor it is seated correctly. the only thing i can think of right now is that it is a faulty motherboard unless anyone else can help me or perhaps suggest something?
