I was more interested in the characteristics of the new Fast HVA panel tech TCL is using in the displays, as the 34" and 27" are both advertised with the same HDR 1600 specs. If anything, the 27" should have even better local dimming with the...
So even though TCL support says their new 27" and 34" panels don't exist, users on Reddit are starting to post their reviews of their units and they sound very positive! A good thread here. In summary - excellent brightness, fantastic colors...
Despite TCL escalated support department confirming what I was told on the phone, reaffirming that the product pages for the new 27" and 34" are in error and that the company has no plans to enter the PC peripheral market, the product manuals for...
Yeah I agree, I've been using a 27" 160hz 4K from KTC I got on sale for $279. Its pixel perfect, square base stand instead of the disgusting V shaped one, and generally other than having a kind of meh matte coating its exxcellent for the price...
That's why I'm so interested in Hardwar Unboxed's test. Basically what they are doing is using the monitor for productivity, leaving on any screen protecting features that are non-obtrusive (like pixel shift and compensation cycles) and turning...
I wasn't really hopeful they would; but I keep seeing people claiming that burn in isn't a thing anymore and was curious if anything had actually changed or if there was still an unwritten "as long as you never show any static content on it"...
I think asking an OLED to last that long with heavy desktop use is a real stretch here. What you could do though is purchase the Geeksquad 4 year warranty and then swap it out right at the end of the 4 years for a new one, that way you are kinda...
Please post back here whenever their burnin test has results. I'd be cautious about making the jump to OLED after only a single year of data since my main display would primarily be used for desktop too. My NEC 3090 was my primary display for...
Thanks for the link SoCali! That is concerning, especially as all the TV tested had their panel saving features enabled. I guess time will tell if the 3rd gen QD-OLED show any improvement in longevity.
None of these OLED monitors will survive beyond 3 years of heavy desktop use.
You can see how the OLED's are faring here:

S95C has shown no burn in after 10 months/6000...
Monitors Unboxed has started using an MSI 32URX for daily productivity. We'll see if they do regular videos about it.

Based on anecdotal evidence, as well as RTings TV torture test: it seems like...
Is anyone using these OLED's for productivity work? I know in the Reddit forums so many people say they are for gaming only, and to stay away as if you do any sort of work with static UI elements you will get burn in, but checking the accounts of...
I'm not sure what the heck is going on with the TCL monitor, but two customer service reps have now told me they that the webpages for the new HVA monitors are in error and they have no plans of releasing any PC peripherals. I've even sent emails...
Just a heads up, MSI is aware of Peak1000 behavior, not sure they will actually do something about it but hey at least they are "aware" of it so that's a start...
This one sounds promising too. The Hisense 27G7K-PRO.

Nope. Even TCL seems to have no idea when it is going to be released in North America. Apparently French retailers have the 34" display listed for sale for 1100 Euros.
