I look thru this thread and it looks like everyone is using a sit-down desk setup.
Has anyone manage to build a stylish standing/stand-up desk from Ikea's parts? I was thinking about getting the Fredrik but it doesn't look so good in a standing setup from the pic I found online.
I am a bit confused now. What does that mean? Are you saying using a DVI-to-HDMI adapter + HDMI cable is not as good as using a single DVI-to-HDMI cable? This seems to be opposite to some suggestions on http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1283319
I was thinking of using the adapter...
I also have a related question. In the case of getting the HDMI-DVI adapter, does it matter whether the adapter support dual-link or single-link DVI-D?
EDIT:
Never mind, I have figured it out :)
I found a review of this TV. http://www.hdtvexpert.com/pages_b/Sharp_LC-32GP3U.html
I like this kind of review that actually do some measurement instead of evaluate from a subjective point of view. It is kind of hard to find reviews for HDTV that are evaluated the same way as most website...
What about this, the Panasonic TX-32LZD80? http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/review/2008/03/08/Panasonic-TX-32LZD80-32in-LCD-TV/p1
Or is this part of that lz800 line mentioned?
I am also wondering about the difference, since I am trying to decide between a 27" monitor or a 1080p 32" TV. How much is the contrast difference and color difference between the two? What would the pixel pitch on a 1080p 32" TV be?
I found this link...
I think Parsona uses 7900GS right? I think that's different from 7900GT. I heard 7900GS can scale a couple months back, and haven't heard much improvement for 7900GT... :(
Thanks for the info. I was wondering whether I should update to 91.47 to see if the the scaling is fixed or not. It doesn't sound like much progress since modified driver did the same with previous version :(
I think this might be a video card's driver error instead of the monitor. Since you are using the vx2025wm and 7900 combo, if you choose anything other "monitor scaling" (like "fixed aspect ratio scaling"), you might get the same "out of range" error. Considering that people using this monitor...
I have tried pressing 2 while powering on before, but I didn't realized there's a new "F" submenu there (I thought it only moves the menu to the top left). Nice find :)
Added: I can't figure out what SSC does neither. I was hoping it might stand for "screen scaling", but unfortunately, no.
