Building a new rig around a 4770k and having trouble picking a board. I know the older Hero VI was regarded highly, but read mixed reviews for the new version.
Only happens with a few video files, the thumbnails appear green and pink. The video plays fine however. Any idea what causes this? Is there a way to fix it?
Had an issue with my 4870x2. Worked fine in games but had strange power up problems. It would not wake from standby, had to reset CMOS. Also on a cold boot up the board would report no VGA. After a quick reset usually worked fine, sometimes it required a CMOS reset.

Picked up another vid card, the 4350hd, and I have no issues with it. Cold boots and standby have been working fine so far. I am gonna assume its not the motherboard, but the 4870x2. Going to set up an RMA.
OKay will this is odd, I had left my case open for the past few days and I had no issues with start ups. Computer powered on first try every time without any issues. Any idea why the hell that is?
No other computers in my house have a pci-e slot. I just ordered a cheap vid card off newegg.com to test out, a HD4350. It was only $24 after rebate. So I will try it that out when I get it. If anything at least I will have a spare card lying around if I need to RMA the 4870x2.

I have an Asus P6T deluxe and for whatever reason I have cold start up issues. Standby never worked for me, if it sat for awhile. If i woke it within 5 minutes it was fine, anything longer I would just get a blank screen. Monitor would not detect any signal. Power cycles would not fix the...
I'm also running my i7 @ 190x20 with 1.35 volts. I hit around 82c with my Noctua heatsink, idle is around 42-44c depending on core. However with this warm weekend we had here in NJ my idle is around 46-47c. I hate spring time, not hot enough for the AC so my computers roast.
No problem, just run memtest and see if they hold up. If they do a few hours no problems though it might just be compatablity issues with the board. Good luck either way, I know how frustrating it can be.
