Well it hasn't locked up at all today so far and I've minimized a bunch of check. So why would the animation cause it to lock?

Not really. The higher clocks speeds of the X800XT/PE help it produce frame rates so similar to an ultra that saying an ultra pwns it is just you being a !!!!!!.
