Namely - I have in mind a monitor that would let me set the rate to some (any will do) mutliplicity of typical video frame rates (24, 25 to be exact). From the recent reviews/opinions I think Asus VG23AH is capable of working at e.g. 72 and 75 respectively. From prad's review Eizo FS2333 is...
Also from mmo7 owner, though a bit dispirited one due to two main issues (besides few other features that make me scratch my head):
- somewhat frequent horizontal / vertical tracking issues
- force needed to press the long leftmost thumb button (button #1)
The tracking I heard was "usual"...
Dunno, maybe it depends on reseller/territory or something. For some reason I assumed that particular model always had 3 year warranty (mine were from middle of 2009 as well, the watermark "effect" was spotted for the first time half a year after the purchase).
It's often called a "watermark" effect. It gets really visible if you keep the monitor turned on for a few hours. I have 12 of those Dells at work and just replaced 4. And at the very least another 4 will be replaced too.

If you're talking about your own flat, you probably have one of those:

- vertical blinds
- roller blinds

So how can the sun be an issue .... ? Sure AG is great (mandatory) thing at the office, but at home ?
Don't mind my sarcastic comment...
Just a few points to add:
Does few fps drop really matter ? In reality not, but in certain cases, looking at the test, (at least at the moment) it's a bit too much, especially considering today's widescreen lcds and gpu hogs like stalker of gothic 3. For the time being at least.
As far as...
I've just purchased 20wgx2 pro (similar to "m", but for european market). So far very nice panel (after 3 year old samsung crt, I see so many colors and details I didn't know they existed before ;) ).
Unfortunately I've found 3 malfunctioning sub-pixels (1 up, 2 down), so far.
edit...
Just to add a note - how to easily reproduce it (I don't have any ati tool, or ever used one):
- fire up Oblivion, load some savegame, then try a few option menus / char stats screens.
- if you don't have Oblivion, the other app that triggers it immediately is...
You're quick on judging. Is brand new 56A on 12V (single rail) Seasonic enough for you ? Not that my old psu (Antec with 24A/12V) has any problems with this simple setup, or makes any difference. It would be quite strange if it had, considering [realistic] overall load.
Looks like those are...
Hello
I'd like to confirm OP's problems. During load, the GTX8800 cards produce incredibly irritating noise, although YMMV, depending on the case and amount/strength of fans.
I was at the edge of RMA, but considering this and a few other threads it seems pointless.
So my question...
