How reliable are they?

Would I be able to just get the DFI SLi-DR, flash the BIOS to the latest version, set the BIOS automatically (defaults), and be on my way? I don't plan on overclocking...

Do motherboards come with cables for HDD? I am purchasing an OEM HDD, but I'm unsure if motherboards, or any other component comes with the cables for hookup.

How would you consider putting these two together? I've yet to see someone with an ASUS motherboard and have some OCZ memory. Also, is a DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR too complicated for a first build?
