I am putting away an old rdram computer (compaq) for a collector's item and was wondering if it would be worth more in its original setup or if I maxed out the ram and processor?
If you have not found one by Sunday I should have a 2.5/400 northwood when I get back in town.
I am upgrading a family members computer and that is what he has.
Have received two 7900 gtx's and neither worked right. Both with the same problem. No signal when hooked to a dvi monitor, and scrambled junk when connected using the analog dongle. I have a biostar 6100-939 mobo, 3200+ processor, 550 watt power supply, 1 gig of g skill ram. My ATI X800 xl works...
I tried it and my Best Buy said if I used it that the other rebates would be no good (something about double dipping). I decided to keep the other rebates.
It will do 240 at 2.5-3-3-8 1t with 2.7 volts. It won't do anything more with 2.8v . 2.8v is the most my board will do. I tried using a 2 as one of the middle two numbers and had no luck with either of the two. My mobo is an abit an8.
Just wondering why you consider it to be junk. I have been using two of them for a while now and have not had any trouble out of either one. All the rails seem to be quite stable.
