I ws wondering what temperature does RAM (DDR2-1066 oc'd to DDR2-1120 OCZ Platinum in my case) typically run? (degrees F please)
What is the maximum, nominal?
I am seeing 116 F peaks.
I am getting in the business of building PC out of my house as a second income. I would like to place This information which is found in the SYSTEM PROPERTIES application main tab. I would like to place my ICON and Manufacturer information there for their friends to see and promote more possible...
Ok, nevermind..... I GOT IT! WOOT!!!!!!
STOCK= 5200+ X2 (2.6GHz.)
Dangit boy, this thing is sweet now....
CPU=2750MHz
Multiplier=10x
FSB=275MHz
HT=1100MHz
DRAM=550MHz
CPU running at 37C idle, 44C fully loaded
The memory is running at DDR2-1100 (PC2-8800)
SiSoft Sandra Numbers...
I can't find a "CPU to RAM ratio" option on the motherboard bios.
Stock is 13x multiplier for CPU X FSB (in stock case is 200.9 MHZ) = 2.612GHz, HT is 1004.7MHz, CPU:DRAM is CPU/7 (So memory speed is 373.14 MHz or DDR=746.28MHz).
If it were so simple to just change the CPU:DRAM ratio...
I have an ASUS Crosshair, I have seen numerous reviews of this board running DDR2-1066 memory at or near that speed (533). I only see how I can achieve DDR2-800 (400), The only way I can even think of achieving this is to run the FSB at 266, and the multiplier at 8x, now the mobo did not like...
Too much bling....
did I say too much bling?
It doesn't count when someone else builds your PC for you dude...
I have better things to do with 20 grand.
The random lockup was happening on my son's PC. Then We started closing programs that were running in the taskbar (he would notice a graphic "blip" in the bottom right corner). We closed out what we could one at a time, then we closed Zone Alarm Pro.... No more blips or lockups (while he may...
I am getting the 1066 OCZ XTC memory.

I would like it to run at 1066, I know the Crosshair will support the voltage, and the memory has the EPP for the 590 chipsets to "auto recognize" it.
I have the Asus Crosshair mobo with...
This is my first time dealing with this company. I have done some research to find a good quality (according to online reviews) / price compromise.
Mobo is ASUS Crosshair, AMD 5200+
I chose the OCZ2N10662GK, seeing that the memory can be "underclocked" and probably obtain 4,4,4,15 @ 800...
