For anyone who might come across this thread later looking for a solution to a similar problem, reseating my RAM fixed everything. Just popped both RAM chips out, sprayed the dust off them, and put them back in.

In my opinion, the Dell is by far the best choice. The performance loss from the Intel proc will be greatly made up by having twice as much video card in there.
