Surprised to see this still going. What I built has been working flawlessly and for under $100 I couldn't be happier. Main reason I didn't go with a device is just in case it could not handle all of the audio formats I use. I have a very high end audio system and didn't want to risk having...
Don't follow PCs much anymore so I'm way out of the loop. Had an old i3 system go out on me and looking at building a new htpc. Which is currently best for basic htpc use? I currently use an ivy bridge in my office and a trinity in my weight room so I am not way out of the loop.
I have...
Just wanted to post back that the Scythe Orochi does indeed fit in a sg05. It only has 1-2mm of clearance from the top. I'll try to get some pics up in a week or two when I get a graphic card added.
It's pretty ghetto looking atm. I had to add a pico psu to make room for this to fit. I went...
I hope to install a Scythe Orochi in my SG-05 this week. It'll be a close fit if it works and I have another system in mind just incase it doesn't go in. It's been sitting in customs for a week, couldn't find one in the US:/
I will be able to tell if I can add a video card after the install...
If it were me I would get a 7770 for around $100. Then drop the rest on a new system, you could do a good system for around $300. Buy a cheap sandy bridge and motherboard for around a $100 total and memory for under $50. Just reuse the hard drive and case. $50 under budget so you could get an...
Not to certain at this point. Looking at moving a trinity build to a white case to match decor. Asrock A75FM2/A6-5400K/picopsu/no external graphics card.
I originally built this in an old hiper case, 2" tall. It functions well it is just noisy and distracting compared to what I'm use to...
I see max height of CPU cooler is 82mm. What about if using a picopsu instead of an sfx psu? Would a taller unit fit or would some of the frame be in the way?
I am looking for a white mitx case and I'm thinking of going with the sg05. Not certain at this point but this will help decide.
Not at all. Might be because I have a dual core? Could be because of the bios, maybe?
I did not have the issue prior to changing bios settings. I currently have mine set at [email protected] and I do not have it set to ramp up at all, I have no need for it. I did end up enabling cool and quite...
The Asrock board is not bad at all, I think some people have just gotten unlucky. I love the system I built with it and could not be happier. Posted up a detailed review on Newegg if interested. Underclocks very well and runs cool.
I have the ASrock FM2 mitx board and it allows you to lower ram voltage down to around 1.0v:confused: I am looking at the new Cruicial LP as I have seen some reviews with cpu-z screen shots. It appears they have SPDs that support less then 1.35@1600. I plan on having some fun with these:D
I just did a similar build but with an SSD and the ASrock mitx board. My idle power draw is 21w and load is 51w, I am underclocked and undervolted. I plan on trying an 80w or 90w pico to see if I can get the wattage lower so a 160w should be more then enough.
I am looking to build a new audio pc for a home gym so I am in the market for a new case. I haven't kept up on much the past few years so I am not certain what is around now days. I looked on newegg and found a few Lian Li's that may interest me but I would like to see some other options.
I...
