Hmm, I got the same message as well. I think they still won't get it to me in time for the rebate. At least we get the RAM earlier than expected...hopefully.

I got a response from Amazon stating that if they can't get the sticks to me in time (by 4/18) then they will credit me the rebate amount. I guess that's better than having to wait for the rebate; trade off of waiting for the RAM...

What day did it change to? My initial date was 4/16, and it's still there. I bought on 3/28. Still hoping it might get out by this week. I haven't seen any better deals yet so I'm willing to sit on it.

I'm in no rush, so this is an amazing deal, that can be cancelled anytime if the rebate is close to sketchy. I'm in. If nothing, you can always refuse the shipment at the end and take no loss except the time. Thanks OP.

I think he means that the moment you buy one, a press release will come out saying that the new 65nm will be out in a week. You know, the whole "wait vs. buy now" debate.

I think you want to set the TV to have the speakers on EXTERNAL, ie you don't want the internal speakers to function. I think that will fix your problem; you'll be able to just have the sound from the z5500 and the internal sounds should not produce sound no matter the volume setting.

It should turn off according to your power saving monitor options in your OS. Mine turns the backlight off after 30 minutes total idle time.

That probably one of the most useful options. Using the HDMI has been a hassle, so optical + DVI is the best option right now for most of us.
