Just confirming I can indeed replace the 4GB single stick with an 8GB stick on the HP 15-da0007ds laptop. No reason it shouldn't work right? To be safe, should I order a confirmed compatible stick? Girlfriend has the celeron model which only supports one stick and a max of 8GB apparently. Thanks!

I installed a new EVGA SuperNOVA GT 650W. It's got that auto ECO mode; there is no switch for it on the unit that I can see. It's been silent so far, other than when I ran benchmarks

Upgraded to an EVGA SuperNOVA 650GT . Retired Corsair PSU while it still worked. I'll hang on to it for emergency, or for a junk build down the road.

The problem keyboard is the HyperX Alloy FPS from 2016. I just got around to opening it recently. My dependable old one is a Saitek Cyborg V. Might be madcatz nowadays, I don't remember.

That was 70+ in the bios idling. In windows I idle around 38-40 now. Hovers around 50 if I'm scrolling or whatever. Temps still high if i am under heavy load but it's been stable. I only hit 95 when I run cinebench or something similar. Thanks for the tip on the CPU power cables. I'll leave...
