It's clearly required on that card. Because they did it. And a company that has slim profit margins and that is struggling to make quarterly reports doesn't tend to spend extra on cooler designs without need. NVIDIA designed the vapor chamber cooler because it needed to, not because it wanted to...
That fact was the most important because...get this...it was the only NEW information!
It's a negative that water cooling might be required to get it to the point of performance to be competitive. If they can do that air cooled, then awesome, the water cooling is an added bonus some users...
I had that feedback several times. What are you thoughts on these tables I added on the 980 Ti review (scroll to bottom): http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-6GB-Review-Matching-TITAN-X-650/Grand-Theft-Auto-V
I wrote and talked publicly about the tools development many times. I actually started the process before NVIDIA did, but needed help writing the overlay that would allow for the bars to be drawn on the screen.
But keep going your way, man, no one can stop you! You an unmovable movement of...
No, I think people's perception of me is due to them reading an article where I am critical of a brand or technology they favor, and failing to read anything else to see exactly how unbiased I am.
Oh man, I don't have time to answer that completely. I think it's obvious that NVIDIA felt they didn't need to use their big GPU, which costs more, could have yield issues, in order to compete with the top end from AMD. It's a shame from a consumer's point of view but great if your NVIDIA - now...
I've been told by Kyle and others that if you aren't being called a sellout or shill by one group or another, you aren't doing the job right. And if you can be called it by both in the same week, you're a winner. :)
You are still, so, so wrong. Everyone one of those graphs was tested using capture gear and post-processing, hence Frame Rating / FCAT. Everyone of those reviews has a setup page that mentions how we test and what gear is used. Just like this one...
Not to hijack the thread, but GSync on notebooks differs from FreeSync because with FS there is still a scalar in between the panel and the GPU. With the notebooks, not just GSync but all notebooks, that isn't generally the case. This gives the GPU access to handle scaling, refresh rate control...
Why do I keep having to repeat this statement. I use frame times on every GPU review I have done since I started using Frame Rating software!! Let me demonstrate:
