    Best 4K monitor for gaming

Just got a Panasonic TC-58AX800U. 58 inches, works over displayport 4k @ 444 @ 60 on a 780. You need one of the 900 series cards for hdmi 2, but it works fine with displayport. Kind of. There's some grumpiness involved with switching resolutions.

    Panasonic AX800 EDID

I injected a few random different INF files to try and unlock 1080p @ 120. It didn't work out very well, and in doing so I had messed up the interface between D-port and my PC. But I switched to the Seiki 4k inf and it seems to be working now (although now that I check it, it's been taken over...

    4:4:....3?!?

Ok, I've kind of answered my own question, but if anybody is curious, it seems to be a down-sampling thing from the native 4k resolution. I can turn on 4x4 mode (direct 4 same color pixels) and it makes the 4:4:4 show up in the picture. But it kind of looks like garbage. Hmmm. Smoother picture...

    4:4:....3?!?

So I got a Panasonic 4k TV, and I've hooked it up through Displayport, and it does 4k 4:4:4 perfect. Looks great. Used the purple picture thing and it clearly shows 4:4:4. I can read red text, all of the tests pass. However, separate from all of this and perhaps asked about in a separate thread...

    Panasonic AX800 EDID

Can somebody please either copy/paste or upload the edid file for the Panasonic ax800 series? I've been monkeying around a bit, and want to put it back to stock. Buuut, I forgot to copy my original edid.

Are there any 4KTVs that cater to PC gamers yet?

Yeah, but even the high end ones don't seem to support 1080p @120hz.. I'm thinking about just getting one of those Panasonic 4k Tvs and seeing if the refresh rate can be overclocked/forced if it won't accept it natively over the displayport :p

    Panasonic AX800 owners question

Hello, I'm thinking about getting a TC-58AX800U, but Amazon doesn't have it so I don't want to get it from other retailers and have limited/poor return options. My question is: Has anybody connected it with Displayport to a PC, and tried any other refresh rates at 1080p? This seems like an...

Are there any 4KTVs that cater to PC gamers yet?

Haha yeah, I posted in that thread asking the same question. If it can, it is the magic TV. The options for buying it are limited though. You can either get it from Best Buy (the don't have any in any local stores here, so they will order and deliver it) or from Panasonic.com. If doesn't do what...

Are there any 4KTVs that cater to PC gamers yet?

    It doesn't mention capabilities of doing 1080p @ 120.

Are there any 4KTVs that cater to PC gamers yet?

I checked it out and it does look pretty nice (TC-58AX800U) But I can't find any real information on it, and it seems like it's only sold from Panasonic. Has anybody used one of these here? Would Displayport be able to do/or force 1080p @ 120?

Hi, Sorry to bother you, but I think I've seen you report returning 2 Tvs to Amazon.com? If so, is it much of a hassle? Does it cost extra, and do they give you any guff about it? I kind of want to try out the UB8500 and want to see if toastyx or something similar can push 120hz at 1080p. I...

Are there any 4KTVs that cater to PC gamers yet?

Has anybody tried messing with toastyx on any of these models? What you're describing is exactly what I'm looking for, and it looks like both Samsung and LG are SO SO close to it, except for the 1080P @ 120. Has anybody played around with perhaps forcing them?
