+1 Not sure where jpm has been but China's economic growth has out paced the rest of the world for years. By the time my 5 year old graduates HS China will be the #1 economy in the world.

Yeah pixel pitch at that size isn't to my taste either but to each their own.

What games do you play? I have an 27" ACD and love 1440p. MMO's, RPG's, action titles are all fantastic at this rez. If all you play are FPS' at a competitive level then 1080p 120hz is the way to go, probably 25" max though. If you plan on reading alot, 1440p may be too much, text is tiny...

Do you mean the OSD? Have to use the remote. There are no buttons on the monitor to access the OSD.

To be fair, Thunderbolt is Intel tech and many Z77 mobo's have support for it.

After taking my iMac to work and losing the wonderful display for a couple weeks I'm back in business with my LED Cinema Display. Startech adapter works perfect with my NVidia GTX 680 and I'm a happy gamer again. Thank you gensplejs for the brightness controller.

How would you hook that up? Would that only support the integrated gpu?

There are two models, one with and one without. Check B&H which sells both. The one with the calibration tool is even more expensive.

Because I think there is far too much positive spin on these monitors. The Porsche and Subaru BRZ comparison is wrong. It's the difference between a Porsche and Ford Fiesta, imho.

Again, why would you folks buy a monitor with 1440p resolution to play games in a .............. window? Admittedly, no matter what monitor any of us chooses, we all have to make compromises. To be honest it ticks me off. The industry can certainly do better.
