I don't have any experience with it, but the Xbox adaptive controller (compatible with PC too) might work for you.

I'm pretty sure Sony released a similar controller for their Playstation platform as well.
Here's hoping they'll also have this 'Xbox OS' available for the DIY market (and hopefully it's a Windows OS offshoot that offers full Windows game compatibility but designed around a Xbox-style UI).

Yeah, it's quite the jump. 1440p at 32" was great before I knew what 4k @ 32" looked like.
However, that's for desktop use; For gaming I don't notice a difference and am considering going back to 1440p to prolong my 3080s shelf life.
