    MCSA on Windows Server 2003

Does anyone have their MCSA on Windows Server 2003? If so would you mind suggesting some books to pick up to study with? The Amazon reviews seem to be mixed for just about every book so I figure I would ask you guys :)

    How fast is your internet?

At home I am on 10mbps fiber, so I have 10 both ways. When I get home I will run the test and edit this post with the results :)

    Best CCNA book out there?

As others have previously stated, the Sybex study guide is fantastic. I am using the cisco books to make sure I get everything down and I use the study guide to help further implement that into my brain :)

    Improving the Networking Forum

I am one of the newer posters in this forum, however, I have an idea. I think it would be great if when people saw a good article or news tidbit on other network/security sites they post a link to it so everyone can read and then the read can be basically a discussion of whatever the...

    Wiring new house.

what the heck is a funny car? haha Yea, if you want to run cat5 switch it to cat6, I am sure a new standard will come out in the future but thats your best bet for now. Make sure you take lots of pics while installing all of this so we can all drool over your fiber.

    Patch Panel questions

Another router isn't necessary, just get a small switch and it should work fine, thats what I use for my pc, my notebook when I have it here in my room and my playstation 2.

    Patch Panel questions

Or get a router and a switch, whichever you want hehe, but yea, the patch panel seems kind of worthless.

House was wired with Cat5 now what?

Once you get the patch panel installed you can get a tool that helps you identify which wire goes where to help with labeling. Here is where I got mine: http://shop2.outpost.com/category/Outpost/Electronic+Components/Test+and+Measurement/Network+Test+&+Measurement/Wire+Tracers/ Hopefully...

restarting 1 computer brings down the entire wireless network!

Ok, so let me get this straight, you are using a wireless router without any sort of switch/hub, correct? Is your "hub" your pc (1 incoming ethernet, 1 outgoing?) If so, that is probably part of the problem, try getting a small switch and plugging the router into that and see if that helps...
