Well, downloading movies is a frequent use case for me since a travel a decent amount. That said, movies don’t take a lot of space in the grand scheme of things. Now recording spatial video would be a different matter altogether but I find myself...
When the article say, I would return mine to buy one with the larger harddrive, my first thought what one can put on it anyway ?
Say a movie collection ? That imply watching movie outside the house and not on your disney+ account because you...
I've been playing the campaign and am having a great time. This is very much Homeworld through and through. I did notice that the game is far too easy on Normal difficulty; I got a third of the way through the game realizing I don't actually...
I ordered a 13” Pro. Two motivations,
- my wife’s 12.9 gen1 is getting longer in tooth and she’ll love the new pencil
- I am super curious to try an OLED that does full screen 1000 nits - not sure I’m aware of any OLED that matches that...
Thank you. I see that the CyberPower PFC units I’ve been using have a typical switchover time advertised as 4ms versus 20ms of the Anker. I do like the idea of running a very low energy (but high power) UPS in series with one of these units...
A big PS lightly loaded will hold up longer because it has bigger capacitors however under heavier load that changes.
Under 10ms is considered to be the target for a good UPS.
They dont have a fast enough switch over time to replace a UPS.
However you can plug a USP into one for extended run time if the output is good enough not to trigger the UPS all the time.
I know people who do it with ecoflow units combined with...
Interesting, I have tested the C800 a few times with my PC on, along with lights and other devices, with no evidence of issue, and various reviews indicated as such, but perhaps the spec is borderline and therefore not advised.
For over a decade now, I've been using UPS units (think CyberPower PFC units) behind computers and other important home electronics. These have large, heavy and relatively low capacity lead acid batteries that usually I can get 4-5 years out of...
Internals probably about the same. They are hiding their real numbers behind fake marketing 'datasheets'. I am not a fan of them for doing that. Looks like size, sound, warranty are the differences.
And for people with serious short sight problem (my mom is extremely myopic and it was quite the experience to see distant object in a 3d world clearly for the first time in many decades, when oculus released their dev kit back in the day)
I found a new and effective use case. Recently I was at a family wedding - I used an iPhone to record a bunch of spatial video for my parents to watch since they are too old to travel. I finally flew to see them, and since they’ve both recently...
I agree, and when it comes to the subject of tech, tend to subscribe to the philosophy that friends don’t let friends listen to DukenukemX. Some people aren’t qualified to and won’t be able to critically evaluate new tech. That’s fine, in my...
I’ve been using mine daily for a while now. My primary use case has been as the ultimate portable media consumption device while doing chores. When I get home from work, usually an hour and change before my wife due to slightly different...
Ditto all around. TR workstation for home stuff and games, M3 Max 16” for work and carry-around, and a bunch of virtualized Linux containers for various server apps. iPhones and iPads but also various Android devices. A complicated mix of...
