So....I have windows 8 installed. I want to upgrade to windows 10, but they have yet to send me the notification that I'm ready. So can I use this link to create a CD and upgrade before MS telling me it's my turn?
Well that was an intelligent response.
All I know is that I play with 580 SLI as long as I want without issues. I switch to 290x and I can't play for longer than 10 minutes.
While there may be alot of misinformation out there...I know the above to be a fact.
Just chiming in. Same issue in BF4.
AMD released new drivers today...but don't get excited, the issue presists.

XFX R9 290x
Asus Maximus IV Hero
Corsair AX1200 PSU
This never happened with my 580 SLI setup.
My solution? Returning this AMD POS to amazon and buying a 780 Ti.
Any word on clock speeds for the Gigabyte Windforce OC edition? Or a ship date?
I went ahead and ordered two since I'm assuming it'll be clocked higher than EVGA's with the stock cooler...and I don't have the patience to wait on a Classified or ACX version from EVGA.

Mushkin DDR3 (from my old PC)
Intel 510 SSD
Installed Windows 8, chipset, drivers, full Windows Updates, and a couple of the Asus programs.
I now go to install Bitdefender Internet Security 2014 and I get a BSOD with the label CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT.

I had initially thought they were overheating as well...but if you look at the graphs, you'll see that the fan speeds drop as well, which is counterintuitive. You'd think that if the cards forced themselves to underclock in order to cool down because of heat, then the fans would keep blowing...
I just replaced my ATI 5970 with two MSI 580 Twin Frozrs in SLI and now I've got a problem.
BF3 (with the new drivers) runs great when I first launch it up...but then after about 10-15 minutes, it's like one of the cards just stop working and my FPS drops from 50ish to about 15 becoming...
I really REALLY REALLY wanted to wait. I promised myself I would...but I honestly enjoy the BF3 beta too much.
For me, waiting until the next generation would mean playing BF3 for several months at less than optimal settings (ATI 5970 at 2560x1600 can't cut it). So I went ahead and picked up...
I was thinking about that...but I was also trying to plan ahead since I forsee an enormous spike in demand for GPUs about that time of year. A lot of people are going to get home on October 25th and realize their epenis is way too small. This is also the time we'll be seeing supply...
I need to do it. Problem is, it seems that ATI and nVidia have dropped the ball in getting their next generation GPUs out the door. With titles like BF3 and Skyrim arriving for the holiday season this year, you would think that they would try and match that release window....instead, we're left...
