Well I was able to OC it at 240FSB stable running two instances of Prime95 for 24 hours. 245 gave errors and 250 would not boot. Not too bad. Thanks for the recommendation (cf)Eclipse. BTW 2gb makes a huge difference in Photoshop. Thinks are so much quicker now.

Ok I ordered th Crucial, let's say that I can't get an overclock worth anything. Should I then mix and match my memory and be up to 2.5gb using four slots, or will that cause additional problems or give me a greater perfomance hit since it disable PAT.

I 've formated a drive many times more than that; maybe not in a 2 week period but alot none the less. It never hurt mine. If your using Window 2000/XP just do a quick format instead of a full format. Now if your trying to overwrite files like akapaulk mentioned that is another story

Just to add, I recently got a Dell 1704FP and noticed the exact same backlighting issue with the white "X" on the screen. It is like four lights are coming out of each corner and converging in an X pattern. I did more research on this and it seems like a number of LCDs suffer from similar types...

Actually to be more precise the 1704FPT has 13ms. The 1704FPV has 25ms. You can only purchase the 1704FPV by itself. The 1704FPT has to be gotten with a system purchase at this time. Relevant links...
