The radiator is so thin im not sure you need a full push pull setup unless its very restrictive to airflow... Also a tidbit to remember is when trying to keep dust down the case should have positive pressure to blow dust out of the cracks (just be sure to use filters on the intakes)... My...
Agreed... and check valves???
Now if this thread was about radiator configurations i am somewhat opinionated on the matter in regards to what has better performance :D
the green fans even add a nice touch! seems like nobody uses them anymore..... :(
the only thing missing now is a couple bubble lights for looks....:D awsome job!
LOL For my first venture into water cooling I did consider the old school approach of using a heater core but instead went with a pair of dual 80's (thick buggers).... I'm not completely sure but my thoughts are that most people just don't want to mess with fabrication beyond tightening screws...
yha the power connector would make sense... if that isn't it try to reinstall drivers... a can of air may not be a bad idea either, that pesky dust goes everywhere!
its a 1N4001 diode... its a common high voltage rectifier diode...... this is a very common diode just search it and you should find all the info you need....
for backup SSD drives are just awsome. From what i have been hearing on the interwebs is that when SSD drives fail, its normally the ability to write that fails and the drive is usually still readable... So a raid type setup may not be nessicery. As for storage, my take on it is to use external...
Homes stores such as the perviously mentioned and lowes will usually have such things in stock at various sizes and thicknesses... McMaster-Carr is the only online place i can think of that might have what you are looking for.....
I hope i can answer some of your questions...
1. A 30 gallon reservoir is really overkill, besides thats a lot of water to keep maintained. Water quality is everything, DI water is what i use with no "special" additives just a small strip of silver to kill microbes. The approach i used for my...
i sure hope its a good board.... imo.... i got one for xmas and just ordered the phen II X4 955 for it... i plan on using the 1600 speed ram rather than the 1333......
as for overclocks on the phen II X4 955 people seem to be getting 3.4 to 3.5 Ghz on air and up to 3.8Ghz on water... however...
sleeving is a godsend..... for instance the front panel cables can be grouped together and put in a common sleeve...... also tie back devices such as zip-ties, cable ties, velcro straps, or purse locks can be useful in restraining cables....
i have seen cases with 1/4" thick dust deposits....... and the only indication of dust was that the case felt a little heavier..... if you havn't already i would suggest fan filters and keeping positive air pressure inside the case to prevent dust from getting sucked in...
