Basically everything I was expecting it to be. A very interesting monitor and an excellent alternative to IPS, only if it wasn't for the terrible backlight bleeding. What a shame, the monitor looks very well built otherwise. Thanks for posting the review.
Both FIFA and PES are like the laziest console ports you'll see. And still, it's possible to configure the camera by yourself so it doesn't make any difference in the end. It's actually a good example why an as wide as possible FOV at the cost of detail isn't always desirable.
You're not...
The stock brightness setting is too high and that's what's causing the heat issue. I use mine at 0 brightness personally and still wish it could go lower when I'm using it in a dark room.
Are you sure it's all backlight bleed and not just PLS glow? Try taking a picture from straight on and from some distance too. A 16:9 27" monitor is very wide, it is always going to have some glow in the corners from closer distance.
Plasma STILL has those issues though and is still a tech that is unsuitable for computer monitors. That's why I believe there is a real possibility the same will be true for OLED. Although they will get better, burn in will likely always remain a problem. Just look at the AMOLED screens used in...
Yeah, some pictures and more info would be useful as well. What's wrong with the whites? Isn't the max brightness supposed to be very high on this monitor?
I believe compensation technology only works for colors, ie it will make whites more uniform but won't fix backlight bleeding. As for why it's not used by all manufacturers, it actually does sound like something that would drive the price up considerably.
What I don't get is how come none of...
