Heres my setup until I get a new GALANT desk and amplifier. My previous amplifier (CA Azur 30A SE) wasn't powerful enough to power these speakers, but I found this retro Akai one in the attic and it's absolutely amazing! :D Still want to get something a bit more modern though. ;)

Absolutely. I can't stress it to you enough how much better your games and music will sound once you jump from on-board to dedicated. I was the same as you a few months back, but then I purchased an X-Fi Titanium and the difference was unreal. :D You have to hear it to believe it.

I will be in the new year. My funds are taking a beating as it is with Christmas around the corner, along with car insurance, tax, mot and university costs. :p Definitely will be getting a sub-woofer though.
