I agree, but that was what I found out from MSI, among others. Even with a bios flash, the 185 would be incompatible. Not a biggie for me, I'm more than pleased for now with the 180. :D
In response to the OP, check to see if your motherboard supports the 185 Opty. Mine didn't, hence the reason I went with the 180 instead. So far, no complaints.
I routed my wires behind the drive cage, crossmember and motherboard tray. I also covered the space above the crossmember and the drive cages with aluminum. I think it gives it a cleaner look:
I'm using a Silverstone in Euodemon in the 5.25 and a Vantec Nexus in the 3.5. The Silverstone is knobless and the Vantec knobs clear with no problem, plus they are both aluminum, which looks sweet.

Swapping them out was very easy, and I got rid of those screwless mounts.
Thx for the kind words Cornelius. I make a point of spending at least 2 hours routing before I close up my rig after a build. Then I go in and play around a bit. Pretty happy overall.
Elyrly, when routing cables, you have to think of two things: you have 3 dimensions to work in, and what...
Just thought I'd let you know, Antec has announced their line of Performance TX cases. I saw the PR on anandtech mainpage. Just go to www.antec.com and select enclosures, TX series. I can't wait for the 1088AMG.
From what I understand, it's a result of the latest Steam update. When you eliminate everything in your control that could affect anything HL related, blame Steam.
I would like to say first and foremost that I agree that parenting is mostly to blame. That said, I feel there is something to some whacko having some screws loose.
Personally, I am a NYC cop, and I find nothing more relaxing than coming home after a tour and turning some n00bs head into jello...
