We use Roku's all over the house. Sure they're probably collecting SOME data but nowhere near what the "smart" function of a smart TV is collecting.

Google is such a strange beast... Definitely an evil beast but a strange one. What other company listens to their employees as much as Google does yet is as invasive as Facebook?

This and the fact that for so little innovation the costs are increasing dramatically. It's always been a bad idea to copy Apple's pricing model. Especially now that Apple isn't the innovator that it used to be.
