Here's an idea. Actually enforcing the law and pulling violators over. Far too often I see people blatantly using their phone behind the wheel in front of cops and nothing happens. Can't complain about a law being ineffective if there's little to no effort in enforcing it to begin with.
Whoa dude, clam down. I wasn't looking to start an argument. I was only pointing out that the FAA has classified them as aircraft as you were implying they had not. What's happening in DC now is the process of determining that category of aircraft and what the rules should/should not be.
As for...
They have classified all RC models as UAS's. The 'A' actually stands for "Aircraft". This can be confirmed on their website (good starting point linked below).

Triangulating the transmitting signal really is the only way they'll be able to catch the real problem pilots. But that take time and special equipment. In most cases the idiot will have landed (or crashed) long before the equipment is deployed.
For now, it's supposed to be free. But as we all know, eventually there will be a fee associated with it regardless of what they tell us. It may even have a fee right off the bat due to that way some FAA laws are written where they actually require a $5 fee for registering aircraft.
Actually the current recommendation from this task-force was for the pilot to be registered and not the individual drone. The pilot would receive their own unique ID number that would need to be affixed to each drone they own that exceeds 250 grams in weight.
Again, simply not affixing a...
Based on what I've read so far, the registration will simply require a sticker with your registration number be affixed to the multi-rotor. The idiots flying these things where they don't belong will simply either not register, or if they do, they will not affix a registration number to it. So...
Thank Ryun. That site's definitely a bookmark worthy site.
I already ordered the ones from Performance PCs and they arrived today. The Akust fit almost perfectly. Slightly loose fitting. When I say "slightly", I mean so slight that if they came with the case I'd think they were designed for it...
Thanks.
They were cheap enough I ordered two of each. Based on pics, if the Akust don't fit, it looks like I'll be able to work something out with the Corsairs via some form of friction fit.
Hey all. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find two 5.25 drive bay mesh covers that would fit a Silverstone SG02. I have been searching for weeks but all I could find are the Lian Li covers and based on my past experience with Lian Li, they are not designed for non-Lian Li cases and...
