FS: Gigabyte RTX 4080 Aero / Macbook Pro 16" M1 Pro

NOTE: All prices shipped ConUS. I don't accept PayPal. I accept Apple Pay, Venmo, USPS money order and crypto. Up for sale today: SOLD - Gigabyte RTX 4080 Aero: Works perfectly, never overclocked. Will be pulled from the box pictured below - I barely play games on this box so I'll be swapping...

Why are IPS monitors popular? The IPS glow ruins a third of the screen along with any color advantage it may have.

IPS isn’t that bad. I prefer my QD-OLED for gaming but claiming glow “ruins” IPS is just kind of flamebait at this point. Different technologies have different trade-offs, so it’s cool if you don’t prefer a certain set of trade-offs but it’s pretty self-explanatory why the technology is popular...

Anyone seriously considering the 4070 TI

I had a 4070 Ti and returned it to get a 4080. It was just barely not enough at 4K. The 4070 Ti Super looks like it should make the original 4080 mostly irrelevant.

My 1080 Ti completely stopped working mid game. Please help me!

The blown fuse explanation makes the most sense given the fans stopped, ie. all power cut to card. Unless you’re an electrical engineer that card is probably done for good. RIP 1080 Ti

    MSI QD-OLED Monitors 2024

I wouldn't be shocked if Corsair releases a flat panel based on this. I have their 32" UHD 144 screen and it's pretty great for an IPS screen. Would switch to OLED in a heartbeat though.

    MSI QD-OLED Monitors 2024

I use the AW3423DWF for a work monitor and the subpixel arrangement thing is seriously not a big deal. Like I can see a difference side by side with my LCD work laptop but it's not bothersome to me. But then when I switch over to my gaming PC and HDR the thing is just breathtaking. OLED is...

    Any happy 4080 owners here?

So the 5090 will release in October if history is any indicator, and spoiler alert it's faster than a 4090? Wow. In the meantime my 4080 is great for AI / Stable Diffusion. 16gb is a sweet spot for image generation. I prefer my 7900 XTX for gaming though.

    Dell Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor - AW3423DWF $799

I just got it a week ago for $799 fromDell. Not the brightest monitor in the world but you forget it’s flaws when you’re gaming ina light-controlled room and witness true blacks with HDR1000. Honesty i feel like it’s a HDD -> SSD level upgrade for gaming and kind of a sidegrade for office use...

    Corsair XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240

3440x1440 at 45 inches you'll have pixels the size of pennies. The bending is a pointless gimmick. OLED burn-in isn't such a big issue and Corsair has a great warranty (I've RMA'ed a monitor to them for exchange and it was painless). I think Corsair makes quality products but this one seems like...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DWF 34″ QD-OLED 165Hz FreeSync Premium Pro (3440 x 1440)

I just got my DWF a week ago. I'm not babying it, not hiding taskbar, etc. If it burns in then I guess Dell will send me a new one under warranty LOL I think the burn-in fear is overhyped. I’ve bought five LG OLED TVs and only one of them had anything remotely resembling burn-in. The...

My monitor's power supply creates spikes on the outlet, will it burn my house?

    I'd worry that the app is wrong and stupid;

    NVIDIA RTX 50 “Blackwell” GB202 GPU GDDR7 384-bit memory

How is it even possible to make a faster card than the RTX 4090?

AMD vs nVidia Colors - Concrete proof of differences

I have my Nvidia RTX 4080 plugged into an $800 4K SS-IPS 144mhz monitor with 98% DCI P3 coverage. I have my AMD 7900 XTX plugged into a $300 1440p bargain-bin ASUS monitor with horizontal stuck pixel rows all over it. Therefore AMD sucks, Nvidia rulz.

    $4000 RTX 4090

Okay, $4000 - it's a showpiece card so whatever. But what kills it for me is the thickness and length of the AIO tubing. Sure they need to make it compatible with a wide variety of cases, but even in the fairly large midtower Hardware Unboxed reviewed it in there was a ton of slack tubing just...

I've been asked to fast-track a build using Intel/AMD for Flight Simulator, help from the Council of [H] requested...

I bought a bargain basement Gigabyte mobo from Microcenter once, worked fine just had awful coil whine. If the guy paid for my college I'd probably slip in a couple hundred of my own to get him a 5800X3D or something with good CPU performance.
