4850 BIOS Flash Sets Idle Clock Right

Well as I already said in an earlier post I have already flashed by HIS 4850 with the newer bios from the MSI cards, the card at idle is 160/500 however my temps have only dropped by aprox 2 degrees, which is why I find it amazing that someone else says their temps dropped by 6 degrees while fan...

4850 BIOS Flash Sets Idle Clock Right

Sorry I am missing something here because what has that got to do with the question I asked? I'll ask again... Old idle temps 75-76 for me @ 14% fan utilization New idle temps 69-70 degrees @ 0-5% fan utilization So you got a 6 degree drop in temp while at the same time using a much...

4850 BIOS Flash Sets Idle Clock Right

A little confused, you saying that temps dropped by 6 degrees even though the fan speed has dropped to 0-5% (from 14%)

4850 BIOS Flash Sets Idle Clock Right

I have done this exact same bios update, using the MSI bios on my HIS card. Everything is working fine with 2d idle at 500/160 and the card is still using the stock heatsink, however I've only noticed a modest drop in temps of around 2c, here's a post I did on another site about it...

Yet another Help me decide (17" TFT - UK)

Likewise although he's got a good point, well worth spending an extra £70 for a larger screen, also I've found the monitor cheaper as it includes free delivery... Lowestontheweb The only thing is now I've seen on the asia viewsonic site that the newer 12ms VX912 is coming soon, I know...

    Viewsonic VX910 X and interpolation?

Thanks for the replies, obviously when I get an tft screen I will be using native res where possible, and that means at the expense of filtering and some detail settings. However when it's not possible I want to be able to use lower res's, are you guys saying that the VX910 is just average at...

    Viewsonic VX910 X and interpolation?

That would be great if you could try out some more games at lower resolutions. Also I suppose I've just got in the habit of running at 1024 x 768, bear in mind I like to run games at max detail and with anti-aliasing and antisotropic filtering at high settings.

    Viewsonic VX910 X and interpolation?

Hi, Been reading peoples reviews of the Viewsonic VX910 X monitor and starting to seriously think about buying one. Can anyone that has already got this monitor let me know how it handles lower resolutions, I ask this as most of my gaming is done @ 1024 x 768, and I certainly don't want to have...

Yet another Help me decide (17" TFT - UK)

Hi, I'm basically in the same boat as you, although I've narrowed my search down to 2 17" monitors, namely: Samsung Syncmaster 710T (£307.50) from Komplett LG L1730b (£285.58) from Ebuyer Very difficult to choose between them, also I notice that the specs differ from those...

    Anyone have a 12ms LG L1730B?

How does your L1730b handle interpolation, this is important to me as I don't plan on upgrading my system every 5minutes just so I canplay the latest games at high res, most games I play at 1024 x 768?

Interpolation - Help me choose a monitor

Ok the time has come to get rid of the bulky CRT taking up all my desk space, I’m looking for a high end 17” or maybe a 19” TFT. Obviously I want excellent picture quality, colour reproduction, and no or very minimal ghosting as I like to do some gaming, although not fast pace games like...
