I hadn't really looked into it much further. It was weird. I ran it twice consecutively. One time I got 1000 write and 2 minutes later I got 2200. Reads are consistently 3400. I dunno. I'll get to it at some point.

Yeah exact same behavior I'm running into. Seems to be better after a cold boot as well... Run CDM 3 times in a row, first 2x will show 3000write, then 1000-1500 randomly. It is my boot drive so not sure if something else is just hogging the disk...

If you are curious I did look into this more since it was bugging me. I finally saw this in a review. Once the pseudo-SLC cache gets used up it drops to the native TLC flash speed - same for any TLC drive:
