Ok, I have 2 options. Either I can get a 4200 and be done, or I can get a 920 + mobo and slowly transition to DDR2 etc. which one owuld be a better Idea. I know that the 920 is slower @ stock than the 4200, and I am keeping them both @ stock. Right now I am leaning towards the 4200.

Right now I am a bit skeptical as to the benefits of dual core, I am running UT2k3, Ad aware Cinema 4d, UED, Disk Cleanup, Norton AV scan, Ad aware and I am posting this thread, yet everything still responds instantly. What is up with this?

It seems as if 64 bit is slowly but surely taking over, if you go to newegg, only 35 don't have 64 bit, compared to the 123 that do. What are your thoughts on this subject? When do you think 64 bit will be mandatory? is 32 bit a dying breed or is it already dead?

Ok, I removed my IHS, and was planning to keep it off, but I discovered a problem, the Heatsink doesn't make contact with hte CPU unless the iHS is on, I am pretty sure it isn't the problem with the end of the socket being too high... Any suggestions, cause I can't OC too high untill I get...

OK, I am about to get an opty 146, and now that I got some money for doing a job I have decided to invest in some OC'ing memory. What is the cheapest 512 stick of memory that is a good overclocker. I will post results on this after I get all this, around january.

do you think it would be possible for amd to partition cores, say have them connected with a high speed bus, and when an APP isn't multithreaded the cores would combine into a more powerful single core CPU and share the cache and hypertransport buses? sort of like AMD's Cool'n quiet partiioning...
