I've just about ran every single torture test, stress test, graphics test... etc and all of them passed without a hitch for 48 hours.. But I'm still having hanging issues.
I've just replaced this MB from MSI that i F'ed up on the bios update and did a fresh Vista64 install.
Even at stock...
Well when I just had ram sinks on my 8800GT, I was getting artifacts right away with anything over 750/1850. but I found that back of the PBC got pretty hot around the mosfets. So I put a large piece of 3M thermal adheasive tape and heat sinks and was able to get another 39mhz off the core and...
I managed to my hands on the 3M thermal tapes. and I have to say they are quite effective.
If anyof you have problems with your existing ram sink adheasive like *cough* Swiftech. this tape is a great replacement. only thing it it's expensive.
I think performance-PC sells them for $3 for...
well I just lapped with 320 grit and then 600 grit.
It was so easy it's not even funny. took less then 20 minutes. now to let the AS5 settle and see how well this lapping works.
So I got sick of buying expensive overpriced barbs from online retailers and found this

Any other option than turning up the Vcore to be Prime95 smal fft stable?
What other settings effect the OC stability? I'm wondering if i can perhaps raise another and lower the cpu voltage.
I'm on water Cooling with 220 radiator and 15GPM pump.
At 3.85ghz and 1.6v I'm getting 65c...
I currently have my swifttech 220 radiator with Yate loom Mediums sucking behind the radiator in to the case.
How do most people have it?
1. I'd like to know if you get better results by pushing air into the radiator than pulling air through it.
2, I'm seeing my Case ambient temp rise to...
Is it really that important to have the Pump running before turning on the power to the PC?
I have my water system set up and leak free.. wondering if i need to get a seperate power supply to run the water pump on a seperate PSU,
I turn off my computer everyday
seems i'm getting the in-place large fft stability by raising the NB(mch) voltage.
I'm at 1.5v NB volt and my MSI p35 platinum board stays at a cool 31c.
how far can i push this? I don't want to go in to exteme overclocking but i'd like to get close to 3.8ghz. on E6750.
current...
I just can't get it to pass it. unless i'm running close to stock speeds.
System runs 24 hours tests of in-place small FFT and so far 18hours of blend testing in Prime95. but i cannot get the damn in-place large FFt to pass.
I tried switching affinties and it always fails on thread#1...

good read..
for those of you who don't want to read.. it basically says
In-place Small FFT tests your CPU
in-place Large FFT tests you CPU/RAM interface,
It picks a spot on your ram and doesn't change location, uses only enough to do...
After searching and searching nothing came as conclusive.
What exactly does in-place Large FFT do? what does it stress?
I can run 24hr In-place Small FFT and Blend but Fail on In-place Large FFT within 2 hours.
It also seems to fail on in-place LargeFFT more when i'm running other apps...
