The only thing I have against windows 10 is the forced upgrades. For most family members they could care less. And its probably a good thing at least on the critical patches. But in the business world that is dangerous. I have seen Microsoft break too many things.
Yea. One of the representatives from the state above where I live was on PBS getting interviewed. He basically said that he didn't see any problem with what there doing because. I am quoting here. There is plenty of competition. (Frontier). The only other choice. And a bad one...
The biggest complaint I have with windows 10 is the updates. Windows 10 decided to update the Intel graphics driver even though I installed the latest from Intel. The driver they installed wont work right with Firefox for some reason. Any way. To get around it I have to use a crappy...
I use a add-on called new tab homepage. That eliminates the problem for me altogether. That way I get a choice of what I see each time I open up a new tab. Not some stupid blank page. Mozila needs to figure out how to make money without chasing away its loyal users.
We got caught spying on our allies. Where mad because we got caught doing it. Not because it was wrong. Its the same argument about the government spying on its citizens. The question should be weather or not that is legal under the constitution. But where more worried about...
This is why Google should have the the control of the updates. Not the phone carriers. Phone companies sit on the patches forever. I will give Apple kudos for keeping there updates separate from the phone carriers.
Why this is not criminal and people are not going to jail is just sad. Why is AT&T or any of the phone companies not responsible for paying back the customers 100%. They should have to pay for figuring this out and reimbursing every last customer. Not the FTC. Our government is a joke.
Paying back the profits. Hell. Why are we not seeing anyone going to jail? I had that happen at work. There was a 40 dollar a mouth charge for some support crap. I called our phone company and tried to get it cancelled and they where like you have to call the place you ordered it...
Test one sim at a time. Boot windows with one sim at a time. It can be time consuming but sometimes it is the only way to verify that you have a bad sim or not. Also test the slots on the motherboard by putting 1 sim in different slots at a time. Also as others have noted do you have...
Call up Microsoft about that. Try and get a strait answer. I did and got 3 different answers from different people at Microsoft. There licensing is so complex even they don't understand it.
Sounds like a lot places I have worked. They made a former manager of mine not take his vacation that he paid for to be at a meeting. They new he was going to be on vacation that week and scheduled it anyway. He maid them call his wife and explain why they cancelled there trip. They...
While I don't have any serious issues with my Comcast service other than the price. I just wish we had some real competition here. Frontier is a joke and cant get DSL to my house if I wanted it. Plus its slow as hell at the places I have been that have it. That leaves Comcast to do...
Whats reasonable if your looking for a job? The company I work for is 3 years up from 2. Are you supposed to work as a wal-mart greeter or starve while your waiting for your non compete to end? Seriously they hired somebody from a different company that had non competes and complained...
So Mr Wheeler. We are in control of congress and are bought bye the big wireless and big phone/cable companies. We are whores. So we are going to make your life a pain because you made our biggest clients mad. This is congress.......
I am assuming that you have to have both MVMe drive and motherboard to see any benefit.?
The motherboard I was looking at has a bios update for the MVMe but it looks like the drives are not available yet. At least the short time I looked for them.
They could take all this money there spending on politicians, trade groups, lawyers. And whoever else there trying to pay off and give there customers what they want. Ha ha ha ha ha. What am I saying. Its the cable\telephone monopolies. The only people sleazier and less popular...
Have they done any work to the windows update part. I have build 9926 and it dose not let you chose which updates you can install. Its all or nothing. With the recent spat of bad updates causing issues. I really don't want not having a choice about which updates I install.
Are they surprised?
1. More and More advertizing. To the point if there is something I want to watch a hour long show is a half hour when I play it on the DVR. Not counting the crap they put on the screen advertizing during the show.
2. The shows that are on Tv mostly suck...
I have had issues with cloning drives to UEFI oem devices if I don't put the new drive into the computer first and clone from the original drive on the usb.
I have a hard time believing any judgment that comes out of Texas. The most patent troll friendlily state to sue companies. Especially since the company in question is from Texas . From the same town. This should be moved to a different state at least.
Unless I am mistaken the merger has not been approved yet. What I really want is competition. The only choice I have here is Comcast. Frontier is totally incompetent and cant get a reliable DSL service to my house not to mention that its slower. So Comcast can charge pretty much what...
My problem is that I have no doubt that ISIS can be defeated on the battlefield at least for now. It's what happens afterwords. Do we have to occupy Iraq again? Do we leave after defeating them and watch this happen over and over again. How do we come out ahead of the game...
I have a few LSI raid cards at work and 1 at home. Its entirely possible to mix raid levels on one card. (probably depending on the cards. I have 9260 series) I have a raid 1 for the boot disk and a raid 6 for storage. I just created the boot disk on the first virtual raid 1 drive...

Cheaper. Has a metal square case witch I would prefer. Reviews are good. I bought my punch down blocks from Monoprice...
Looking forward to our politicians who are bought and paid for on both sides (Dem & Rep) buy big cable. Who will let this merger happen with almost no concessions from Comcast.
Blaming each other for the mess this will cause for consumers.
Who wants to listen to constant advertizements and the same crap. (Clear Channel) when you can just plug in a smartphone and listen to what ever you want. I haven't for years.
Does the sub hum without anything plugged into it? It could be a ground loop problem. I have had some very expensive subs hum because of that. It can be fixed without replacing the sub. The most likely culprit is often the cable line /box.
More like Frontier was to stupid to buy Verizon's old aging phone infrastructure. Where I live there are phone lines and boxes literally laying on top of the ground open to the weather. How DSL works on that I will never no. They paid 8.6 billion for aging infrastructure that consumers are...
Every cable box I have ever seen is horrible. Most of the reasons for high power usage is because there using incredibly old technology even in there HD boxes. My parents cable box heats up the hole entertainment center even when it's supposedly off.
To bad it updates with some sort of crap-ware installer enabled bye default. For non corporate computers it should update automatically. If adobe and sun would include there updates in windows update it would make life simpler for everyone. But then they would loose revenue for installing...
icrosoft server software 2008 and newer replicate files. Its called DFS replication. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771058.aspx
So get a remote server. Put it in where your going. VPN the networks together and when the user logs into the server to access or change the...
I used to work for NCR. The basic operating system used to be OS2 and then they switched to xp. Updating those ATM's is going to be a pain that's for sure. Most banks keep them forever and the processors are the slowest things imaginable even when they where new. But at least the...
