I want to buy a new cpu for my 939. Currently running a 3700 San Diego. ...was considering the Opteron 170... or should I just go with a 4800 dual core... I'd like to stay around the sub $200 price OC isn't an immediate need...I like to use a cpu until it feels slow then OC. thanks

Not sure what your issue is ... I play it @ 1680x1050 Everything Ultra 4x AA ON 7800GT 2 gigs 3700 Runs great.... patched and not so patched...either way runs fine. I also want to add that I have a buddy running this on a 1700xp chip it's slow to load but is playable after that...

yes it's a san diego 939 i dropped the cpu down -.02 i believe and now it goes from around 1.471-1.5

is your mb running the latest bios? 12/05 i think have you tried a full reinstall? i'd remove any pci cards and usb devices also don't install the nvidia firewall stuff or the sw ide
