Looking to purchase a Macbook 13" Retina with hopefully 16GB of ram. Willing to be open to 8GB however 16GB is preferred.
Let me know what you have! Thanks!
I'm looking to sell the following system.. as a whole unit for now:
CPU- Intel i5 3570K (@4.1GHz on Stock Voltage)
GPU- eVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2GB (02G-P4-2678-KR)
HD- Samsung 830 Series 256GB SSD (Max OSX Mountain Lion)
HD2- Old Western Digital 250GB HD (Windows 7)
Motherboard- Gigabyte...
I ended up removing the Corsair H80 and adding the Noctua DH-D14 as I heard it's a better cooler.
And NewEgg has a deal where the HX750 is $114.99 after rebate which is $5 more than the HX650 at $109.99 after rebate, so I ended up swapping the HX650 out for the HX750.
I'm going to switch to 3770K out for the 3570K and I'm going to bump up the GTX660Ti to a GTX670 (thanks for the tip, slh28).
As for the CPU cooler, I've decided to go with the Corsairs H80. Would've gone with the H100 but I heard it doesn't fit in the Fractal R4.
Will my Corsair HX650 PSU be...
I'm considering swapping out the 660 Ti w/ a 670 2GB. It's about $30 more. My question is.. is the 4GB model worth a $160 jump? ($334.99 vs $459.99)
And also for the price of the CPU cooler, Noctua NH-D14, do you think it's worth the money or should I look into a cheap watercooling alternative...
Not really going to be doing much CPU intensive stuff.. but you're right. I'm definitely going to be doing some gaming, I'll think about going with the i5 3570K and returning the 3770K.
I'm guessing it's useless to buy the extra compound? I figured the Noctua compound can keep it cooler. Or is it the same compound as the one on the cooler?
Wow.. It's been a while since I was actually active here. I used to browse these forums as a kid haha.
Anyway to start it off..
Monitor (2) Dell Ultrasharp U2412M - $639.98
CPU Intel i5 3570K - $196.64
Video Card eVGA GeForce GTX 670 - $399.99
Hard Drive Samsung 830 Series 256GB - $169.99...
I'm looking for a socket 939 motherboard. I'm putting together an old machine for my parents and one of the capacitors on the motherboard blew after I installed a new PSU. Looks like I need a new board. It can be any brand/model. Just need one with a PCI-e 2.0 X16 port.
Thanks and Happy...
I'm trying to add a GMAIL account to one of my users in Exchange 2003 so that everything shows up in Outlook 2003 and on their mobile phones via ActiveSync.
How can I do this?
I'm trying to set up Windows 2003 Small Business Edition and Exchange 2003 in my house. The problem is that the computer that I'm hosting Windows 2003 behind a router. My router is a Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT installed on it. I already have a hostname ready and pointed at my IP address. My ISP...
I will probably be looking at Geovision DVR Cards. I've been looking at the ones on ebay, and they all look very shady since they're all so cheap. If I am to implement a security system in my house, I might as well spend more money for a quality card rather than a pirated dvr card.
I saw this...
Hey guys, what's up?
Since the number of computers in my house are expanding, I figured it was time to build a centralized file server so that everyone in the house can save their files on it and access it from another computer. It's less hassle for everybody.
So yeah, building a file...

i'm keeping up with your updates lol
i have a gateway case lying somewhere in my house, and reading this thread makes me want to clean it up and start brainstorming.
i really recommend an apple macbook or macbook pro, either refurbished or new. you really can't go wrong with the new apple macbooks. they'll run either windows or mac os x. all of my friends that went off to college, bought themselves new macbooks and they love it. the macbook is sleek, slim...
i heard that the new sidekick that is supposedly coming out is fake. i was told that somebody created and printed the schedules for the sidekick releases out on their computer then posted it on a wall and took a picture of it which makes it look real but it's really not.
the part about using the sidekick 3 as a modem is not true, whoever told you that is wrong. the usb port on a sidekick 3 is used for developers to create programs for the sidekick 3 OR to calendar, notes, organizer plans over from your computer but only with a special program you have to buy. so...
Counter-Strike 1.3
My buddies started playing LAN games and they made me play with them one day and it got me HOOKED.
I still play Counter-Strike today but not as much. I just wished they would've still kept 1.5 alive.
