Normally you can get discount when you buy from DELL, 10%, 20%, sometimes 30%, depend on what you buy.
I just want to know how much I can bargain when I call DELL.
the backlight issue is nothing to do with the video card ?
I own Dell 24'' LCD and using ATI card and have no backlight problem.
For the ower of 3007, what kind of video card are you using? Just curious.
My LCD buzz some times if I use it for a long time. It never happened in summer, because I had my air conditioner on all the time during summer. ( I am living in a condo)
Has been using it for months.
The review from http://www.behardware.com/articles/567/page1.html about 2405 is a perfect accurate except the video part (I don't play game so I can't comment about the game).
It is true, when you play DVD, or Divx video in full screen, the picture looks...

1920x1200 (1080P) is not enough? Anything larger than that you need upscale your HD 1080P input signal plus you need a dual-link DVI video card.
One just burst, people start making another one. So is the way things go...
2405 is such a hot selling, Dell Canada keep running out of stock, how could you expect them to slash the price???
:D ;)

I am using the following 2 web sites to do the colour clibration
http://epaperpress.com/monitorcal/
http://bryce-alive.net/calibrate/
After a week use of my 2405, I found a red stuck pixel (NOT a dead pixe. it just no red light comes out from this pixel, you can use "Dead Pixel Buddy" to check this). Maybe it was there since the begining, I didn't notice it.
Today I got a new replacement from Dell, I found there are 2 stuck...
Yes!
I am using ATI 9600 (128M) running 1920x1200 through DVI no problem.
I also using ATI 9200 running 1920x1200 through VGA no problem.
I don't see any (noticeable) difference (image quality) between those two.
I called Dell, they will send me a replacement. :D :D :D
I won't agree with those people who saying you can't get a perfect LCD. Why not? If the perfect LCD exist in this world, then you are entitled to get one. It is your hard earned $$$, you need take care of spending it.
Is there a fix for this? Somebody said it will fix by itself, other says you can rub (massaging) it with your finger.
Anybody having experience to fix a stuck pixel?
