Do you have a local Microcenter to shop at or any local Pc stores? Also Order a bulk of your parts from Amazon? I used to trust Newegg long ago.. But not anymore. They would be my go to pc parts place over 20 yrs ago. But then I started seeing some things online about them and also I noticed...
You're naive or just sitting on some tiny island down near some Asian island... lol.. But where I'm from ... USA. folk have been getting sick from various things most important over the last 2 yrs Covid. If all I had to worry about is catching a cold. and I could catch 4 of those cards with...
Seriously what Im thinking.. Like you got a good run out of it.. Things are dirt cheap.. Just buy a new one.. and move on.. Company is excellent and makes good product.. 1-5 people on a forum talking about their 8-15 yr old rma psu... time to move on .. Just buy a different brand...
No way lol.. Seasonic .. Is trust worthy by far... Look up Jonnyguru old stuff on them. Also Seasonic made for Corsair. I take some reviews on MC with a grain of salt hehe.
honest you can't go wrong with any one of them.. and cash back in your pocket.. for anything else...
Just a heads up.. That Asus psu shows sold out for me.. But Amazon does show it as in stock if you want it btw.
Please dont do that.. Save your cash... No way you need 1300w for your system...... My system is same as yours almost with a Seasonic 850w psu..... Who in the world said you needed a beefy psu like that????
Nevermind Now I read and saw who said it.. good lord..... So I checked out MC .... You...
Why... just recommending higher watt psu just for the heck off it is mindless... in fact its not even efficient for the system. Thing could probably get by on a 750w psu from a good brand name.. BUT, I would not try it tbh.. 850w though is MORE than enough for YEARS to come from the best...
Man you are a trooper lol! Forget that though! I love Seasonic a ton but no way in heck am I trust a decade old PSU to a gpu so new.. I bought a brand new 3080 this year and also paired it with a brand new Seasonic PSU.. I like to start fresh all around. my old 11 year old x760 will keep...
haha takes me back to when I was young and my Dad used to build his piece by piece. I would go over and touch his pioneer record player with the needle and weight that would gently lay down upon putting on a new album.. Man he hated when I did it.
Still using mine in my main pc. 11 yrs strong... same model as that you had. have 2 brand new Seasonic going into 2 different builds also.. All I will use now is them or Corsair.
Atarione,
I'm still scratching my head wondering why you wanted to take the risk though on those new parts with an older psu. Just a few 20's alone could've had you in a decent one. Microcenter had a cx650m for 79.99.
expensive practice but hey if you want to do that every 5 .. go for it. will admit depending on my system build I might upgrade the psu then , if needed.. But I have been known to use one for 8-10yrs. Seasonics.
agreed and just plain stupid.. never in my close to 25 yrs of upgrading and building would I suggest anyone do that.. invest in a quality brand name PSU and have less worries and a sounder system.
I don't do that future proof crap. I buy for the gpu Im using at that period of time. when I upgrade I might buy another psu if need be. But no way in heck would I ever use some trash psu ever for my high end systems... not in 20 plus years. You see to many sad stories of peoples systems dying...
Agreed.. I remember having to RMA a card and they ended up going above and beyond upgrading me to the newest card that year. I have not bought an EVGA in several years but I would always go back when upgrade time rolls around.. Good company and great customer service indeed.
Facetime? You must have me confused with your bunch who use those apps and spend time on cell phones ... lol... And ALL of my Grand Parents have long been dead and passed on... some most likely before you were born haha.. But anyway.. You can have all the shots you want.. I'll keep watching and...
Remember and played a few of these back in the day.. Blaster Master hold a special place in my heart when I was a young cat. Kid Icarus, and Elevator Action were some of my favs.
I'm still using a 2011 Seasonic PSU 760x model.. Just curious too.. Whats up with the psu's on Amazon? why are no Seasonics in stock really? My only choice is too hit the local MC. Same goes for the Corsair units on the site.. nothing seems in stock.. seems odd.
