The thing that excites me most about the 780G is that it basically gives enables free SLI. How many people have an IGP board with a single PCI-E slot that they use to improve the graphics? From here on it will mean that discrete and integrated can be married together in SLI mode! Not only that...

At idle, the 8800gts in my NSK2400 (almost identical to your Fusion) runs at 57C with the motherboard at 35C and the cores on my overclocked E4400 at 40C. This is with two undervolted 120mm Yate Loons from jab-tech pushing air into the case and a third blowing down on the processor. Positive...
That's an odd one. My temps remained the same with the beta bios (clock for clock) but of course in reality fell due to C1E most of the time. Speedstep doesn't work (or at least not for me) when overclocking while C1E drops the multiplier dynamically even when overclocked.
Tried it anyway with your reg file + Vista drivers and got a Stop: 0X0000007B bluescreen.
Will take another look after some sleep it's 03:38 here. It'll probably work just fine with the XP drivers.
Thanks again. Interesting that the Vista32-64 SB package 7-4_vista32-64_sb_44985.exe has two sub folders under the raid folder LH and LH64A that are identical apart from the MSI installer:-
Directory of C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-4_vista32-64_sb_44985\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\SB6xx\RAID\LH

Thanks! Just one question though. Where are you downloading from? I'm only seeing ati_raid_v100.zip from the abit site which contains ahcix86.cat, inf and sys
I didn't find anything at ati.amd.com
wondering if I should edit your reg file and replace all ahci8086 with ahcix86 or if I'd be...
dont all thank me at once ;-)
Would be good if someone other than me could post back here and say it's working though. Might give people a bit of confidence to try it.
Under Vista32 I'm trying to enable AHCI (post install) on my i90HD just for kicks really.
I saw a guide over at http://forum.msi.com.tw/index.php?topic=106575.0 but tbh am not sure if any of it could be MSI specific. Tried it and just got a stop error on boot translating as "inaccessible boot...
i90HD Beta 13 BIOS available at :- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=INIVATJ6
DON'T USE THE WINDOWS FLASHER. IT WILL FAIL.
Fixes incorrect temperature in BIOS
Adds C1E function (like speedstep)
+ a few other bits and pieces. Haven't looked into it all yet.
Oh, it allows undervolting the CPU as...

If you'd taken 30 seconds to look at the main page of the thermalright site you'd have seen that it needs an adapter for socket 775 boards. http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_product_xp120_775.htm
I've just found your very misleading post linked to on another board and also on...
I've been doing the same research for the same mobo/case and come up with a list that needs shortening:-
Thermalright XP-120
Thermalright SI-128
Thermalright XP-90
CNPS9500 - fins are parted on top and touch case
SilverStone Nitrogon NT01 V2.0 - Looks great but not sure about performance...
Has anyone managed to get Vista readyboost working using the 2407wfp's built in card reader?
ok, this is a niggly point but the dell website has "certified for Vista" on the 2407WFP page so here goes.....
It's not just a screen but a multifunction device with the card reader. As far as my...
Thanks for the replies. With the Live! 24-bit I tried using a regular 3.5mm -> 2x RCA converter in the digital I/O socket but no joy so far. I think I'll buy one of the new Creative I/O Modules and give that a go although it seems like a lot of money for what it is.
So I had to go and buy a Dell. It's an E520 and after a few days wrestling with it I gave up on the Sigmatek onboard audio and got a Creative Live! 24-Bit PCI card....that was my second mistake.
Does anyone know if it's even possible yet using either of these to get compressed AC3 S/PDIF 5.1...
