Crap...I was hoping I woudn't have to go that far :(
On a side note I am not able to get some sort of recognition of the Wireless Receiver when I the PS/2 adapter (i.e. it recognizes sometimes when I press the F-Lock button) but that's only after the BIOS spits out the "keyboard error" message :(
Ok this is a very strange problem that started last night...here's the breakdown & system specs for reference:
- Windows 7 Pro (64-bit)
- eVGA mobo (680i SLi)
- C2Q Q6600
- 4GB RAM
- Geforce 8800 GTS (x2)
- Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 4000 (wireless)
- Microsoft Wireless Laser...
I haven't tried lately but I think I've tried the different settings in my BIOS with no success. Right now it is set at "S1 & S3" which I assume is S4, right?
Could this be tied to maybe the motherboard not being grounded properly, RAM voltage settings or RAM timings? The RAM in the system...
Hey guys,
I've been having some weird problems with my (custom) system for quite some time now that has prevented me from using the "Sleep" option in Windows XP, Vista and (now) Windows 7.
Basically whenever I put machine to sleep manually via the start menu it will not always "fully" wake up...
Hey guys,
So I'm looking to get rid of my laptop that I don't use that much anymore but I'm not really sure what would be a good selling price...so here's the specs:
Compal CL56
Intel Pentium-M (Centrino) 1.8Ghz (Dothan 745)
2GB RAM (2 x 1GB)
120GB HDD
CDRW/DVD Rom combo drive
15.4"...
...wow. no offense, but talk about a dumb statement. The horizontal stand was "useless" b/c it wasn't needed to make the system sit flat. It was basically just an overpriced piece of plastic that had the gradation color pattern on it.
Well yea...when the PPU cards cost $150+ that would be part of the problem. But if you could throw in a cheapo low end video card to do the physics then it would make a larger impact I think.
I know...but the fact that you need a 3rd card to do that kinda sucks.
As for the GPU physics...I wouldn't be surprised if they both scrapped their plans. Ageia doesn't really have any must-have games that use it & the big games that do use it (UT3 & GRAW 1/2) don't need it.
If ATI and/or...
Any problems? My experience has always been that nvidia & ati drivers don't play well together.
It's annoying that if you want to do SLi you still can't output to a second monitor when you're not playing a game
So with all the talk about the 3-way SLi in the new 780i boards, does anyone know what the 3rd (middle) PCI-e slot on the 680i SLi boards is used for?
I remember hearing a while back about ATI and nvidia possible working on the ability to allow for a lower end video card to be used as a...
My latest example of boredom at work:
SUPER SIZE!
Visual Style: Superflat
Wallpaper: Mushroom Party
Icons: Simplest
Other:
- Rocket Dock w/ kkMenu plugin
- Reflections Master (for Rocket Dock icons)
- Desktop Sidebar w/ Miranda plugin
- Yahoo! Widgets
That entire "Reflections" icon/PNG set is quite sexy. I'm in the middle of setting up my office computer with them as soon as I get my last bit of work done.
Ah cool...yea I just found out about Rocket Dock over the weekend & I'll check out that plug-in later.
How is the memory usage of Rocket Dock w/ that app?
Awesome! I'll mess around with it and see what it can do.
...and yea, the redesigned Yahoo! Widgets Gallery is a mess now. The old design was at least a little better at finding stuff...now most of the search results come up with crap.
As mentioned before...here's my work desktop...
Area o4.1 VS FTW! :D
FULL SIZE (2560 x 1024)
Forgot to add that "normally" I have a few folders on my desktop plus I use the Konspose Notes widget to track "stuff"...but since its all confidential and under NDA...I have to hide it
