Trying to import the Pool and Disk was actually on my list of things to try. I'll give that a go today and see what happens.
I really don't want to have to try and recreate all this damn data. (Once everything is settled, I'll be transferring everything to a new machine with hardware RAID...
Logs are actually reporting a whole lot of nothing in regards to storage, which makes it even more discouraging..
Edit:
If I try to connect the virtual disk from PowerShell I get a little bit of verbiage but nothing that helps me in searches
"Connect-VirtualDisk : Failed

After a rather brutal storm here in Central Florida, I had my primary data server/media server shutdown rather ungracefully due to power loss after the UPS battery dwindled.
When I got home, I powered everything up as per the usual and noticed that my storage pool virtual disk did not mount...
My buddy is putting together a PC with an socket 1150 i7 and 2 280x graphics cards.
He's wanting to water cool, as keeping his GPUs cool has always been a problem.
I put together a few systems in my day but it's been a long time since Ive done one and am not familiar with what's out...
Reading this thread makes me feel like having a UTM at the edge of my network and AV on all my machines (including OSX), is much overkill. Anyone want to purchase a SonicWALL TZ215, it's obviously not needed if I'm smart.
We are currently in the proposal stage of a new environment that is going from SBS 2003 to DC-RDS-App-Exchange server setup.
The client needs pop-connectors for their Exchange as they are a franchised partner and need to have their emails come in from their home office. I've found multiple...
I assure you, this is not something I, or anyone else in my office plan on taking on alone. We're looking into other consultants that could assist in the project. I was tasked with specing out hardware for the prelim quote.
Correct, we arebuilding a new box to replace the 2003 environment. The client has licensing for Symantec Anit-SPAM, and we have a BDR NAS onsite doing backups and sending to a data center. (Zenith InfoTech)
Right now the mailstore is at ~50GB so I'm not too horribly concerned with storage yet The old enviroment is running with a 200GB RAID and they have plenty of space. Unless the migration from 2003 to 2010 will make this size grow exponentially, I think the recommendation of a 600GB RAID10 will...
It's for a specialized medical office. Not a lot of large files going to or from. Mainly just typical documents, everything else goes through their EMR/EHR systems. I'd say the typical mailbox size is under 500MB, with a few physicians and C-Levels with 1GB+. About 25 users with iPhones...
We have a client that is currently running an Exchange 2003 environment with 150+ users. They are looking to moving to Server 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010 environment. I'm not sure how to even approach this one in regards to specing out the server, as I've never dealt with anything this big...
Currently my G network is "Say Hello To Your Mother For Me", my N network is "Pretty Fly For a WiFi". My guest network is "FBI Van #13". Not very original, but they work
A wireless bridge does exactly as it sounds. It bridges a network together. Basically the signal from your current router goes to the bridge and then passes the traffic to the network cable.
Some access points allow bridging, others dont.
Okay, What I was planning on doing was creating an image of the current 2008 install. Installing SBS2011, then virtualize the 2008 image, transfer the roles, and once all roles and such were transfered, decommision the VM, remove the server.
Would this work as easily as I envision it?
Currently in my office we're running Server 2008 Std, running DNS/DHCP/File/Print roles. We want to make the move to SBS2011 but are unsure of the path we should take.
Has anyone here done this migration path, or similar that could lend some hints, tips or advice? =)
Okay, I feel like a real 'tard right now but here goes. I have a customer who has 2 Windows7 Pro boxes (POS Systems) and a box in the back office running Windows XP Pro.
I can access shares from Backoffice and POS2, on POS1.

I have a family friend who has drastically downsized his business from 30 people/3 offices to 4 people one office and he's thinking of selling some equipment and going very basic. They rely on email, calendar etc so they have SBS03 but he's thinking of ditching it all for Google Apps. Is this a...
Yeah these qr codes are pretty handy. In a single square i can list everything one would need in a contact card. Name, address, website, etcetc.
I'm just really unsure how I'm going to implement lol.
I know we have quite a few professional designers on these boards, I was just wondering, if any of you have had a request for QR codes on business cards yet?
I've been toying with the idea, but I'm just not sure how often they'll be used, and to be quite honest, the QR codes arent exactly the...
Im looking for a AM2/2+ motherboard that has integrated graphics, preferably with HDMI out for an HTPC. I'll also consider DVI out and Toslink onboard as well. Trying to spend less than $100, so let me know what you got!
Thanks!
