Thats rather odd.
When I purchased my dell laptop a while back I was given the same offer. When I went to the site ( https://www.dellvistaupgrade.com/default.aspx ) and filled out the required information, it only came to $10.64. The cost of shipping.
Either your going about it wrong...
I doubt anyone here could give you an answer without knowing what program you use for email. Every program stores them in a different location. Tell us that and someone would be more than happy to answer your question.
You should be able to import the *.dbx files back into whatever email program you use them in without a hitch (refer to jstnomega's link for Outlook Express).
If you need a program to recover the emails from a *.dbx file because you cannot get Outlook Express to open them, you will want to...
Only way you will run windows within windows is with VMware, or Virtual PC

Last i checked that HDD was only $95....no where near $300 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=101220-13
Although I'm not exactly sure why you're getting a RAID specific drive....
Ok, so I got this powersupply yesterday: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194004. to replace my old one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817159053 (sad, I know.) It will RANDOMLY (less than 10% of the time) power on.....in my room. Most of the time...
I looked around for a bit and didn't seen any info on this. I'm looking for a good/decent PCIe RAID controller capable of doing Raid 5 and *hopefully* online capacity expansion. Obviously the cheaper the better, about the ~$200-250 range, maybe a little higher
So far all i've really come up...
Google goes along way....according to the one site i looked at, you have no free slots. Your stuck at 512MB.

Another way to check would be to flip over the laptop and unscrew the cover for the memory ;)
Yes it will support the x2 4800+
As for the overall quality of the motherboard, its either you love gigabyte or you hate them, personally I like them, my last mobo was the same as yours except the non-sli version (K8N Ultra 9) and i never had a single problem. I even overclocked my 3200+ to...
Whats wrong with that? It told you exactly what it did. That setting adjusts the DRAM timing settings. If you need a further explanation then you either should not be playing with it in the first place, or you need to go type "DRAM timing" into the oracle (google). I have no idea where you...
Personally I find it easier to just boot into Recovery Console and copy over NTLDR from the XP CD. Why bother with a reformat/repair install when you dont have to? ;)
I have that same gay card (dwl-g520) and I will concur, it's a complete POS! It works great for surfing, but after about 5 minutes of transfering big files (isos, movies, etc) it bluescreens :( If they would update their drives it would be great----becuase thats where the problem lies ;)
go get yourself a copy of Process Explorer http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html
That will probably help narrow down the problem quite a bit ;)
check your jumpers on your HDDs----i had the exact same problem on my moms computer where it would sit there and try to detect one of the HDDs for at LEAST a minute; one quick switch of the jumper, and the baby was up and running fine. ;)
on a side note, if the above doesnt work you could...
I get that same problem sometimes---and its generally when I have my computer on standby for about an hour or longer; and for that matter its only the laptop, my desktop does just fine when left in standby for day(s)
Sorry I didnt really have anything helpful to say, lol
Not unless your running socket 940. But on the bright side, think of all the good stuff you could do with 4 cores; bruteforce, folding---well, I guess the list stops about there.
70-270 (XP Pro) wasnt really hard, but you wouldnt be able to pass it without at least some studying. Good thing is if you go through Pearson Vue you can get a free "2nd shot"

do you really need that exact board? There are still plenty of other AGP...
Personally I lean more towards option 'A' just for the sake of it being simple to manage. That way I dont have to reformat 2 partions/drives; I can do just 1. Also if you do 2 drives, you can run windows, games, programs, etc off of the first drive, and use the second drive for your pagefile...
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA------basically that leaves you with 2 possible culprits; memory or video card. Seeing how you said memtest errors, i'd go with the memory. Do like heatlesssun said and try installing XP with just 1 stick of RAM and see how that goes, if it works looks like you'll...
When I took it a few months ago they made sure to throw in as many OSI questions as they could.......bleh; Other than that I would have to say it was the same if not easier than the OS part of A+. Fiber is a big part on it too, SX, CX, LX, etc make sure to know lengths and speeds. Good luck...
The first reply was right, Right click My computer -> Properties -> General Tab

if you look at the box i circled in the Product ID it says OEM (I have an OEM copy :p )
Chances are you...
I agree; playing with the registry at WORK is probably far from being something you should be doing. At the same time however, you shouldn't be discouraging him from playing in it, as there are many things he could learn. I feel like I'm reading Harry Potter and the Registry is supposed to be...
we have a few of these around the house and they are great: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000204SWE/002-8238924-4441610?v=glance&n=172282
As long as it says it will play it, theres no reason it shouldnt ;) just make sure it plays the version of DivX your videos are encoded with. As...
FYI....Netstumber will not find SSIDs that are not being broadcast, Kismet on the other hand will (there are a few others too) ;)
You could always do like me: MAC address filtering, WPA2, and hidden SSID  (overkill, i know---but it makes me feel safe)
Yes, plugging that molex in would be a good idea ;) As for the lights up front (i'm assuming you mean the two LEDs in the door) those are powered by a molex connector if i remember right, so make sure its plugged in.
Your correct, your case doesnt have a speaker.....not sure what exactly...
acascianelli, you got NAS a little backwards ;) NAS=Network Attached Storage, you were closer to SAN=Storage Area Network
(Damn I'm funny....NAS backwards = SAN) :o

This site lists a few different tools that you can use....and yes, the ultimate boot disk would work just as well for recovering the password(s)
You just need to find a partion resizer. Do a google search for one.

I've heard good things about that one, but I've never used it, so your on your own there.
